BERLIN-BUILT.
DELIBERATELY SMALL.
CMP42 — Context · Models · Processes — is a headless, MCP-native CRM for the era in which AI is the UI. It is a protagx product, built in Berlin, by a founder who has spent fifteen years wiring companies to the CRMs that came before it.
THE SCHEMA BUILT FOR AGENTS.
Legacy CRMs were built to be looked at: every field, pipeline and dashboard exists because a human was going to click on it. Today, teams ask their agent for the pipeline before they open the dashboard — and the agent gets it wrong, because the data model was built for the human clicker.
CMP42 is a CRM designed knowing the primary reader will be an agent. Three deliberately small parts: Context, a connected object graph of people, content and knowledge; Models, an ontology you version like code; and Processes, human-plus-agent workflows made observable. Any MCP-compliant client can read and write against it.
CMP42 is in Alpha. From October 2026 twelve Design Partners use it with real data and shape what ships next.
PROTAGX — CRM & DIGITAL SYSTEMS.
protagx is a Berlin practice building production-quality digital systems for regulated industries. CRM integration, data models and the systems around them are the core of the work — which is exactly the ground CMP42 grows out of.
CMP42 is built on the protagx stack: the same posture as everything else protagx ships. GDPR-native. EU-hosted. No cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Self-hostable if you want it.
CHRISTIAN SCHAPPEIT.
Christian Schappeit runs protagx. Fifteen years of wiring companies to CRMs — HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and the two dozen before those — most of them not built for the AI they now depend on. He is building CMP42 and works directly with every Design Partner, via Slack and a monthly co-design call.
A note from the founder
I have spent fifteen years wiring companies to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, and the two dozen CRMs before those. The pattern is always the same: the data model is built for a human clicker, the users end up in a spreadsheet anyway, and the AI features arrive three years late and none of them work.
Then AI as UI happened. My clients started asking their agent for the pipeline instead of opening the dashboard. And the agent got it wrong — because the data model was still built for the human clicker.
CMP42 is what I want to hand a team on day one of their next re-platforming. Small enough to hold in your head. Big enough to feed the agents you have not chosen yet. Berlin-built, EU-hosted, GDPR-native, self-hostable. No dashboards until you write them yourself.
FOUR HABITS WE KEEP.
Refuse the bloat
No forced UI, no proprietary “AI insights”, no 200-field contact. What we leave out is as deliberate as what we ship.
Bring your own model
We ship no proprietary model. You bring the agent you trust; CMP42 gives it grounded context.
An honest Alpha
Alpha ships weekly and things will break. We would rather run a small, honest Alpha than a broad, quiet one.
No names without permission
We do not ask for testimonials, referrals or logos. Case studies are optional and co-written — or not written at all.
BE ONE OF THE FIRST TWELVE.
Twelve companies. Six months of Alpha from October 2026. Direct access to the founder, a monthly co-design call, and the right to name one MCP tool that ships to every future customer. €6,900 one-time.
